The head of state made a trip to speak to Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. He stated that he consulted fighters at the military base of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is leading defense efforts in the Dobropillya area, a town approximately a short distance from Pokrovsk.

Intense Conditions in Pokrovsk

Geospatial data from a local initiative indicated that invading troops had pushed further into the city and surrounding areas, though significant areas remained beyond firm control by both forces. The situation remains critical, with updates indicating that invading units were fortifying positions and building up positions in certain areas.

Invading troops are making progress in the Pokrovsk direction and are reportedly acting with enhanced confidence within urban Pokrovsk.

Military experts noted that Ukrainian forces had recaptured substantial territory of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the east side of the Pokrovsk campaign.

Kyiv's Drone Strikes Inside Russia

National unmanned aircraft targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside Russian territory at the location. Regional authorities reported an explosion at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to partially collapse, adding that the reason for the blast was not known. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was significant destruction to the facility.

Ukraine's military reported hitting a petroleum facility at the city in the federal district in central Russia. The level of destruction was being assessed. The local official verified an assault by 20 drones near Kstovo.

Moscow's Security Strategic Shifts

National guard personnel will now have to secure petroleum plants against Ukrainian drone strikes after the Russian leader enacted a decree on Tuesday extending their entanglement in the conflict. The head of state also approved legislation permitting draft enrollment all year round whereas previously it was possible only during limited periods in fall and spring. Moscow legally bars recruits from being assigned to fighting, but after their defense commitment they become part of the backup units, placing them in danger of being sent to war.

Heavy military spending have also started to pressure the national finances, with authorities hiking rates to plug a rising deficit.

Zelenskyy's Requests for Allied Help

The Ukrainian president urged the US to remain open to delivering to the nation with far-reaching military equipment.
