Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features live text of the weekend matchups via various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Also, radio commentary is available through select stations for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six of the football calendar , after recent talk about two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable in those games were the number of infractions each committed. Philadelphia did so at crucial times meaning they kind of defeated themselves having led 17-3 entering the fourth period against Denver, who play overseas this weekend.

However it proved positive to observe that Denver quarterback Bo Nix managed to have the shortfall before direct three successful possessions on three possessions during the final period, to win the victory 21-17.

Denver have the top defender with cornerback Pat Surtain II. They rank number one in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia are number one in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that contest.

They executed the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not always sending extra defenders but they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap before drop them out and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, we said during a show that Denver could be this season's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year strongly then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Could Denver be this year's dark horses?

New tight end their tight end has stepped up significantly while recent running back JK Dobbins is a player the team trusts. He now ranks fifth league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

It's impressive that head coach Sean Payton displays "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates how the Broncos are a squad that wants to prioritize the run, since you can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush and keeps you in positive situations.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass all over, however they lack in the same way that Nix has. He boasts incredible arm talent, which is different, and he's highly agile.

His strengths include his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to make throws as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle and past defenders.

As a rookie QB, aged 25, he's got a lot of poise in the pocket and is not bothered by the blitz. He aims to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able pass under pressure. He has a high football IQ and is very decisive.

If you consistently rush it eats up the clock and forces the opponent to stay on the field for longer, and if you have an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the field vertically and horizontally. This proves draining.

Nix has pushed back with the coach during games at times and I think Payton likes that fire, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to have a rookie QB that is similar to play-dough. The coach can really develop him how he desires to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.

Payton has won a championship and now surpassed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. I think the success Denver are having offensively is largely due to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix helps shape him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a more qualified person in your ear, to help you during some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I believe in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they strong enough to face an elite team at its best? Because that wasn't championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.

Currently, I don't think the Broncos are elite. They're performing better than most, that's a solid position to hold the AFC West. All they need is to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at embracing their strength, that is the ground game, and that's precisely what they must do versus the Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have surrendered 140 rushing yards per game (sixth worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Ever since the league began tracking turnovers in 1933, this team are the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers in five outings, which is surprising considering that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos face a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans and the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could make a run at leading the West.

It depends on what version Kansas City shows up they face since Denver {beat|def
