England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
