The Comedy Series Brassic Ends Its Run with Tarantino-Inspired Last Episode
Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are concluding on their humorous show about a tight-knit bunch of likable chancers causing chaos in a countryside town in Lancashire. One could anticipate the finale to be a nostalgic highlight reel of booze, drugs and cheeky thievery. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the gang hole up in a bar with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a final 50th installment apparently inspired by the filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Yet the penultimate episode of this initially sluggish but ultimately compelling phone-hacking drama sees David Tennant’s Nick uncovering information about the News of the World’s conduct that the rest of the media simply are forced to acknowledge. Things are also looking up for the character Dave, who has a surprising new ally.
