Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bon Clay. The role has the ability to transform into an perfect replica of any person they’ve made contact with with their main hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, as in the source material and animated series.
