Locating a Venezuela-linked Tanker 'Pursued' by the US Coast Guard

A uniquely yellow-colored apartment block in the background assisted us verify the footage.
We are checking video footage and photographs circulated this morning that show the aftermath of a reported vehicle-borne explosive explosion that authorities in Russia state fatally injured a senior military officer in Moscow.
Officials in Russia confirmed that Lt Gen Fanil Sarvarov was inside the car that exploded and that he later died of his injuries. An investigation is currently ongoing.
Our starting point to check the location of where the pictures originated relied on posts saying the explosion happened on Yasenevaya Ulitsa in the southern district of the capital city of Russia.
We used panoramic mapping services on Google Maps and the local mapping service Yandex Maps to corroborate the distinctive yellow colour of a nearby residential complex captured in the footage.
Locating other buildings, lamp-posts and the street layout verified the exact location the footage were taken.
Additionally, we verified that the video clips were new and that the images had not undergone manipulated.
