Actor Rejects Anti-Vax Position Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Pandemic Feature

The acclaimed actor has given his voice to a new documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccinations and commends one-time government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Contentious Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a well-known publication co-authored by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for allegations that the virus was a result of a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

Her collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with controversial radio host a known commentator. The producer recently posted praising Neeson's participation in the documentary.

A Firm Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Neeson have released a comment pushing back against suggestions that he holds anti-immunization views.

"Everyone can acknowledge that corruption may occur within the drug industry, but that must not be conflated with rejection of vaccines," the comment reads. "Neeson is not, and cannot be described as, against vaccines. His extensive work with the UN children's agency highlights his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

It noted that the actor did not shape the film's narrative and that inquiries about its claims ought to go to the creators.

Key Claims Within the Feature

According to the documentary, the script spoken by Neeson makes several strong points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "research has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • It takes aim at stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Context and Recent Disputes

It further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about HIV drug testing on children, which was afterwards the topic of a BBC apology by the network for violations of guidelines.

Recently, Kennedy called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is also referenced in the documentary, despite a new report from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Position of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has in the past expressed clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "an extraordinary achievement," adding that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's voice saying, "This marks not the finish of our story. This is the dawn of a new chapter."
