In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Update

This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
