A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
